Scanned Sources
These pages aim to make available specialist and difficult to obtain articles and books relevant to medieval genealogy. Because we can only do this when copyright has expired, the items are inevitably older items dating from the 19th or early 20th centuries. Even so much of the information remains valuable for modern researchers. We cannot emulate large scale initiatives such as archive.org or google-books, and in a number of cases links are provided to other such resources.
If you see any sources in our library catalogue that are out-of-copyright and that you would like to see scanned then let us know. However please check first whether the item can already be found on other websites.
The sources on these pages are provided as PDF files that can either be viewed online, or downloaded. They are scanned as images, therefore the texts are mostly not searchable, but can be made so with OCR processing. The sources are grouped in two categories: early journals from the 19th and early 20th century, and individual articles, monographs or books.
